In Xenoblade Chronicles 3 we return to this conflict between the civilizations of Keves and Agnus to know the adventure for the salvation of a world full of dark secrets. In total we have six main characters, who come from the two aforementioned nations and who will have to fight side by side despite their differences. This group is led by Noah and Mio, who have the powers to communicate with dead soldiers.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 gameplay

We said it lines ago: we are facing a real-time combat title with several characters simultaneously. If you already know other Xenoblade games, the gameplay of the third installment will be very familiar to you, since it maintains the essence of the fighting and adds new options to give it a refresher (for example, we can control the other six playable characters of the team, instead of just managing one).

We also have a series of special attacks (known as ‘arts’) that will be recharged as we attack an enemy with normal blows. To access these we have to press the Y, X, B and A keys on the Joy-Con and we can see its charging time on the screen. The controls aren’t exactly easy to master, but it’s part of the role-playing experience. and we must also highlight the combat strategy.

Thus, both control in the fight and its strategy (with items and potions) make a difference on the battlefield. In terms of gameplay, we are not far from other exponents of the genre such as Fire Emblen, Final Fantasy and others from the Xenoblade saga.

And the enemies and other characters? As we mentioned, the main ones are Noah, Mio, Eunie, Taion, Lanz, Sena and others that are revealed throughout history.

On the other hand, the main enemies are the masked queens, characters who rule the lands of Keves and Agnus. We do not know their goals or desires, but we will discover them as the plot unfolds.

The enemies to defeat are not exactly charismatic or interesting, but the main ones like Noah and Mio are. Throughout the game we get to know them and understand their wishes and shortcomings.

graphics and sound

In terms of technical performance, the video game has a remarkable performance. In its version for TV, as a laptop, it plays without problems in terms of performance (we did not find drops in frames).

In temperatures, in portable mode after several minutes of play it heats up slightly, without being a problem.

Although it is true that some open world textures such as stones or trees do not look quite right when we zoom in.
