The mother of the two children found dead inside suitcases has been arrested in South Korea
The woman charged with the alleged murder of her two sons whose remains were found in New Zealand on August 11 in two suitcaseswhere the bodies would have remained for several years, has been detained by the South Korean Police. “Police can confirm that the 42-year-old woman has been arrested in South Korea on two counts of murder related to these two young victims,” New Zealand Police said in a statement.

Apparently and according to what has been known thanks to the released statement, the New Zealand authorities have already processed the woman’s extradition request. The woman that was arrested in Ulsana town located about 300 kilometers southeast of Seoul, was caught with her head completely covered with a hood while being transferred from the police station to a vehicle that was to transport her to Seoul.

The bodies of the two little ones were found in early August in two suitcases allegedly bought by a family from the New Zealand city of Auckland at an auction of abandoned objects.
Authorities believe that the two minors, whose identities were not released and who it is believed they were between five and ten years old at the time of their deaths, they would have been inside the suitcases for several years.
