In the field of sustainability, the company registers 35% of production locally, and has set a goal that by 2025 all collections are 100% sustainable.
The company managed to save more than 8,800 kilos of plastic and more than 35,700 kilos of CO2 with the production of the last three collections of 2021.
Maite Casademunt, born in Cardedeu (Barcelona) and trained at the Barcelona School of Image and Design, is, in addition to being a businesswoman, the firm’s design soul. She worked side by side with her mother from a very young age after finishing her Design studies. Her incorporation meant a change of direction in the company, enriching it with the creation of a fashion line. Since 2018, she has been the owner and president of LOLA CASADEMUNT, initiating a process of greater management professionalization to take the family business to a new stage of growth.
For the award-winning director, “it is a pride to receive this award, which is, without a doubt, a recognition of the work that we have been carrying out in recent years at LOLA CASADEMUNT, a firm that my mother founded more than 40 years ago and that, today she is experiencing a very sweet moment with the achievement of all her dreams, thanks to the entry into the shareholding of my husband, Fernando Espona, and the commitment and hard work of all the teams”.
In this sense, Maite Casademunt highlights: “In a matter of three years we have professionalized the company with the incorporation of the director Paco Sánchez and a great team of professionals at the head of the various departments of the firm; we have set a business strategy with clear objectives that have placed the company at a high level with the presentation of our collections on the two official catwalks in the country, the 080 Barcelona Fashion and the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid; we have expanded both nationally and internationally; and last year we celebrated our 40th anniversary with the launch of our first image campaign with a world top model like Nieves Álvarez”. And she adds: “These milestones push us to continue learning to continue developing enriching projects for the company, and growing steadily and sustainably.”
