International sales boost Bimba y Lola’s turnover by 6.5%

Bimba y Lola has just returned to the central Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona. It was a round trip. It was already present there until the beginning of last year and now it has moved from the premises of a boulevard at street level. Despite the ups and downs of the economy, the company from Vigo continues with the expansion plan that is giving so much good news to the accounts at the moment. Invoicing grew by 6.5% during the first half of its fiscal year, between March 1 and August 31, thanks to the strong growth of business outside of Spain.

Those responsible for the brand speak of an “excellent” evolution of international sales, which grew by 34% despite the context of high inflation throughout the world. Bimba y Lola now operates in 45 countries after landing in Thailand, Argentina and China, where it signed an agreement with Grupo ImagineX, the main distribution and management group for fashion brands in Asia and a subsidiary of The Lane Crawford Joyce Group, to open up to 30 points of sale in 15 large cities in the country throughout 2022 and the next four years.

The foreign business contributes about 50% of the turnover. Sales in physical stores increased by 14%, while online “moderated its contribution” to represent 17% of revenue. Bimba y Lola also assures that it is continuing with the work on its new headquarters in Vigo and the logistics center in Mos.
