Gipuzkoa knows the experience of a benchmark in new mobility

A delegation made up of R&D centres, agents and companies from Gipuzkoa that work in the field of sustainable mobility will travel next week to the Netherlands, considered a benchmark in new mobility, to find out about its experience and the progress it has brought about and establish a closer relationship.

The innovation mission has been organized by the Provincial Council and the Chamber of Gipuzkoa, in collaboration with the Mubil center and the BRTA scientific-technological consortium, with the aim of placing the territory at the forefront of sustainable mobility at European level through knowledge of the most innovative practices.

Between 21 and 23 September, the members of the delegation will have the opportunity to meet both with institutional representatives and with technology centres, universities and “companies of international prestige”, as reported yesterday by the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council and Chamber.

Automotive, recharging infrastructures, intelligent energy management systems or batteries will be some of the technologies and activities that will be the focus of these meetings, where Gipuzkoan participants will not only be able to find out about the latest trends, but will also have the opportunity to establish contacts for future collaborations .

Ecosystem nodes specialized in the new mobility such as Rotterdam, The Hague, Delft, Eindhoven, Helmond, Amsterdam and Utrecht will be the destination of this mission with the aim of “monitoring the successful practices of the most advanced countries to compare our public policies and strategic projects for the future”, as stated yesterday in a note by the deputy for Economic Promotion, Jabier Larrañaga.

The regional deputy stressed the timing of the moment, since the regional entity is currently in the process of building the New Mobile Mobility Pole that will be created in the Eskusaitzeta industrial estate in Donostia and that will have “first-class technology for the testing of key components for the vehicles of the future”, as Jabier Larrañaga recalled.
