It is usual for the price of electricity to drop in Spain on Sundays, and this Sunday, September 11, will not be an exception, since the cost of energy drops compared to the previous day.
The average price of electricity in Spain is €161.41/MWhwhich represents a decrease with respect to the electricity price of the previous day, on Saturday, September 10when its average cost was 176.05 euros/MWh.
These data are extracted from OMIE, the electricity market operator designated for the management of the daily and intraday electricity market in the Iberian Peninsula, which publishes electricity prices in Spain and Portugal, both the daily average and the hourly average.
With the 161.41 euros/MWh this Sunday, electricity will cost on average 14.64 euros/MWh less of what was paid for it on Saturday. To this is added later the compensation to the electricity companies.
The maximum electricity price on Sunday will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., when it will cost 252 euros/MWh, below the maximum of the previous day, which was set at 300 euros.
On the contrary, the most recommended time to start up your home appliances will be between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., during which the pool price will be 98.50 euros/MWh.
