The World Electric Vehicle Dayheld on September 9, seeks to raise awareness about the importance of using this type of car. ALD Automotive Spain joins this celebration and reaffirms its commitment to sustainable mobility.
The 2021 CSR report has recently presented fleet management and states that the 28.64% of the vehicles registered by the company are hybrid and electric. “Electromobility is a key factor not only in the present of ALD but also in the future, which is why we work to continue increasing our fleet of vehicles powered by alternative energies”, assured Pedro Malla, general director of ALD Spain.
The basis of the strategic plan “Move 2025” of the company is sustainability and they establish that in the year 2025 30% of all new contracts will be for electric vehicles (between VE, PHEV and hydrogen), and that in 2030 50% of the contracts will be for pure electric vehicles.
A less polluting fleet
The current high percentage of sustainable vehicles in its fleet has allowed ALD Automotive reduce its environmental impact. An analysis of the emissions of the fleet shows that during the last year the company’s vehicles have emitted almost 10% less CO2 than the national car fleet.
ALD, with a total of 120.62 grams of CO2 per kilometer traveled in 2021, has emitted 13 grams less than the total fleet of vehicles. In addition, the average consumption of the ALD fleet in Spain stood at 5.10 liters per 100 km. The company’s efforts to increase its fleet of electric vehicles have also been accompanied by alliances with leading manufacturers in vehicle electrification, as well as with international suppliers that provide adequate infrastructures so that the 100% electric vehicle is a popular and affordable reality on European roads.
