28.64% of vehicles registered by ALD in the last year were electric or hybrid

ALD Automotive Spain has indicated that during the last year 28.64% of the vehicles registered by companies were electric or hybrid, according to the CSR 2021 report recently presented by the fleet management company.

The company has reported these data within the framework of World Electric Vehicle Day, which is celebrated on September 9 with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of this type of car.

“Electromobility is a key factor not only in the present of ALD but also in the future, which is why we work to continue increasing our fleet of vehicles powered by alternative energies”, assured the general director of ALD Spain, Pedro Malla.

The group has stressed that sustainability is, in fact, the basis of the company’s ‘Move 2025’ strategic plan in which it establishes that in 2025, 30% of all new contracts will be for electric vehicles (between electric, plug-in hybrids and hydrogen), and that in 2030 50% of the contracts will be pure electric.

In this context, ALD has highlighted that the high percentage of sustainable vehicles in its fleet has made it possible to reduce its environmental impact. An analysis of the emissions of the fleet shows that during the last year the company’s vehicles have emitted almost 10% less carbon dioxide (CO2) than the national automobile fleet.

Specifically, ALD, with a total of 120.62 grams of CO2 per kilometer traveled in 2021, has emitted 13 grams less than the total fleet of vehicles, whose emissions figure is 133.67 grams of CO2 per kilometer. In addition, the average fuel consumption of the ALD fleet in Spain was 5.10 liters per 100 km; a lower figure than the rest of the market, which has an average cost of 5.42 liters per 100 km.

Ultimately, the company has stressed that its efforts to increase its fleet of electric vehicles have also been accompanied by alliances with leading manufacturers in vehicle electrification, as well as with international suppliers that provide adequate infrastructure so that the 100% electric vehicle is a popular and affordable reality on European roads
