28.64% of the vehicles registered by ALD in the last year are electric or hybrid (Clients and products-Environment) :: CSR Commitment

In the last year, 28.64% of the vehicles registered by the company are hybrid and electric, as reflected in the 2021 CSR report recently presented by the fleet management company. “Electromobility is a key factor not only in the present of ALD but also in the future, which is why we work to continue increasing our fleet of vehicles powered by alternative energies”, assured Pedro Malla, general director of ALD Spain.

Sustainability is, in fact, the basis of the company’s “Move 2025” strategic plan, which establishes that by 2025, 30% of all new contracts will be for electric vehicles (between VE, PHEV and hydrogen), and that in 2030 50% of the contracts will be for pure electricity.

A less polluting fleet

The current high percentage of sustainable vehicles in its fleet has allowed ALD Automotive to reduce its environmental impact. An analysis of the emissions of the fleet shows that during the last year the company’s vehicles have emitted almost 10% less CO2 than the national car park.

Specifically, ALD, with a total of 120.62 grams of CO2 per kilometer traveled in 2021, has emitted 13 grams less than the total vehicle fleet, whose emissions figure is 133.67 g CO2/km. In addition, the average consumption of the ALD fleet in Spain stood at 5.10 liters per 100 km; a lower figure than the rest of the market, which has an average cost of 5.42 liters per 100 km.

The company’s efforts to increase its fleet of electric vehicles have also been accompanied by alliances with leading manufacturers in vehicle electrification, as well as with international suppliers that provide adequate infrastructures so that the 100% electric vehicle is a popular and affordable reality in the European roads.
